Mark Russinovich is a Technical Fellow in the Platform and Services Division at Microsoft. Russinovich is a widely recognized expert in Windows operating system internals as well as operating system architecture and design. As technical fellow, Mark's work is focused on the core OS architecture and how the Windows platform will evolve, in particular with virtualization. Mark's work influences the development of new virtualization architectures within the future Windows platform.
Russinovich joined Microsoft when Microsoft acquired Winternals software, the company he cofounded in 1996 and where he worked as Chief Software Architect. He is also cofounder of Sysinternals.com, where he wrote and published dozens of popular Windows administration and diagnostic utilities including Autoruns, Process Explorer and Tcpview.
Russinovich coauthored "Inside Windows 2000" and "Windows Internals," both from Microsoft Press, is a Contributing Editor for TechNet Magazine and Senior Contributing Editor for Windows IT Pro Magazine, and has written many articles on Windows internals. He has been a featured speaker at major industry conferences around the world, including Microsoft's TechEd, IT Forum, and Professional Developer's Conference, as well as Windows Connections, Windev, and TechMentor, and has taught Windows internals, troubleshooting and file system and device driver development to companies worldwide, including Microsoft, the CIA and the FBI. Russinovich earned his Ph.D. in computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Simon Crosby was founder and CTO of XenSource prior to the acquisition of XenSource by Citrix. Previously, Simon was a principal engineer at Intel where he led strategic research in distributed autonomic computing, platform security and trust.
He was the founder of CPlane Inc., a network optimization software vendor, where he held a variety of executive roles. Prior to CPlane, Simon was a tenured faculty member at the University of Cambridge, UK, where he led research on network performance and control, and multimedia operating systems. He is author of over 35 research papers and patents on a number of datacenter and networking topics including security, network and server virtualization, resource optimization and performance.
In 2007, Simon was awarded a coveted spot as one of InfoWorld’s Top 25 CTOs.

Dr. Banga joined the Company as Chief Technology Officer in October 2006 and was appointed Senior Vice President, Engineering in November 2006. Prior to joining the Company, he was vice president of product management at Intellisync (and at Nokia Corp., after its acquisition of Intellisync), responsible for all client-side products.
Before Intellisync, Dr. Banga was co-founder and chief executive officer of PDAapps, the creator of VeriChat, a mobile instant messaging solution.
PDAapps was acquired by Intellisync in 2005.
From 1998 to 2003, Dr. Banga was a senior engineer at Network Appliance.
Dr. Banga holds a B.Tech. in computer science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, as well as M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Rice University.

Jerry is responsible for Marathon’s technology roadmap that is driving the convergence of high availability and virtualization technologies. Under Jerry’s leadership, Marathon is developing the first-ever fault tolerant-class software solution for virtual environments.
Built in partnership with XenSource, this cutting edge product was awarded “Best New Technology” at VMworld 2007. Before joining Marathon, he held executive positions at PPGx, Inc. and Belmont Research as well as management and technical roles at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he was responsible for the development and deployment of mission-critical platforms to support enterprise-computing environments. He led a variety of system and product development efforts in the area of operating systems, network communications, database systems, and computing languages. Jerry holds a BS in chemistry from Beloit College and graduate work in computer engineering and computer science at Boston University.
